OF AN AMERICAN IDOL, A HERO TO MILLIONS, GOLD RECORDS GALORE,
THE COVER OF ROLLING STONE…NOT REALLY!!!
Dr. Fad Introduces the American Fad
for This Century’s Pet Rock, Hoola Hoop Or Slinky
He saw genius and riches in mindlessness before network primetime
decided to fill their entire schedule with it. He knew the reality
of the human struggle to attain one’s dream was the greatest
fad of all back when Paula Abdul was still sis boom bahing as a
Laker girl.
That’s right everything that is hot in this country—reality,
the human need to make a mark, down home ingenuity—Ken Hakuta
(aka Dr. Fad) attained fame and fortune from first. Hakuta, who
rode the glory of a little rubber spider toy (the Wacky WallWalker)
to millions, is now looking to find the garage guru with the next
hot fad, and help him or her make millions during AMERICAN FAD.
Ken will be traveling the country looking for people who have
spent hours upon hours in their garage, den, or basement inventing
the next great fad, but don’t know what to do with it. For
the winner, Ken will put the inventor with the best “thingamajiggy” together
with a toy company to create the concept, have it produced, and
bring it to the public.
The way it works is easy, winning is the hard part. All you have
to do is send your idea/concept and test product to: American
Fad, c/o Jericho Communications, 304 Hudson Street, Suite 700,
New York, NY 10013 or log onto: www.drfad.com.
Whether you are a winner or not, Dr. Fad will give you personalized
advice on how to make your dream invention a reality.
According to the good doctor of fad, the practitioner of pulp,
the physician of inventions, “The problem with all these
reality shows is the winner usually has either talent or good looks.
I believe it’s those who can’t act or hit a curve ball,
that every night after the kids go to bed, go down to their workspace,
and take a concept from their mind, and work and work and work
until they find a way to make it a reality. They are true American
heroes. That’s who I have always been intrigued by.”
Dr. Fad is a best-selling author and was the host of a hit television
show. Dr. Fad has been providing advice and guidance to inventors
for the past 20 years.
