Make a Model
Now that you have your idea and some sketches of it, the next step is to make a model of it. That's an actual version of your idea that works as well as you can make it work. Your model doesn't have to be as slick as the things you see in stores. If your idea is a complex machine, your model doesn't even need to really work. It just has to give people an idea of what your invention is. Build it the best you can using stuff you have around the house. Maybe you can find pieces of old, broken products to use. Or maybe one of your parents is good with building things and can give you a hand. Just remember: any model is better than no model. Do the best you can with what you have.
